Searching for kid-friendly escape room activities? How about an escape room kids party? Maybe you’re looking for some fun indoor activities for kids to keep them engaged. We know how important that is during winters in the Pacific Northwest. Having fun inside while it’s cold, wet and stormy outside is a priority!

Fortunately, the answer to all three questions is the same: paradigmQ — Vancouver’s newest and greatest escape room challenge!

Players under the age of 18 are welcome and encouraged to visit paradigmQ. While we do require that at least one adult be present in the room, that doesn’t stop kids from having fun. You can even join in and try to help the kids solve the puzzle! If not, it’s almost just as fun watching the little ones figure it out for themselves.

Totally Kid-Friendly Escape Room Activities

In our experience, most kids over the age of 8 can grasp the concepts presented to them in the escape rooms without much difficulty. Kids love escape games, and they usually tell us that they had a super fun experience.

The most exciting and engaging escape rooms are more than just word puzzles and problem solving — although they are certainly those things. The best escape rooms for kids are those which allow them to be challenged and fully engaged for whatever amount of time it takes to solve the puzzle.

Don’t forget to remember though: Even though they’re just kids, the clock is always running. Better solve the puzzle quick!

Solving Puzzles As A Team

As parents, we try to find the best indoor activities for the kids. Many of us have even organized and played games in which we hide clues around the house to keep the children entertained.

As we’ve written about before, kids love to help solve puzzles, and they get so enthusiastic during the process. They find clues, think through various scenarios, and unlock the secrets. In fact, the escape rooms at paradigmQ are great team-building activities for kids, just like playing sports or joining a club at school.

Teens love our rooms, too, by the way. We’ve found that they’re often much better at solving the puzzles than the adults in the room!

Nothing Super Scary at paradigmQ

At paradigmQ, we want the kids in our community to have their own escape. All our rooms are kid-friendly. There’s definitely a sense of atmosphere that we work hard to cultivate, but there’s nothing super scary that’s going to ruin the evening for the kids.

Also: nobody is ever locked in a room.

So if you find yourself searching for “kids escape room near me” or “fun indoor activities for kids near me,” just remember one name: paradigmQ.

We look forward to entertaining you and the kids!

By the way, ask about our holiday-themed escape room: The Hour Before Christmas!

Two quick final notes:

First, while we welcome puzzlers of all ages, please do keep a sharp eye on any toddlers in your party. There are a few fragile items in the rooms that can break if toppled.

Second, children under the age of 18 must have a Minor Waiver signed. This can be completed by any adult in the same party. We also ask that there is always one adult in the room when kids are playing.
